I am absolutely a kid at heart when it comes to this time of year. I love the chance of snow, Christmas music, Christmas lights, Christmas shopping, family events....anything and everything about Christmas, I love it. And of course, the real reason for the season...the birth of Jesus Christ! So with all that being said, I love that I am able to celebrate all these special moments with Taylor. I get to relive my childhood all over again and watch it through the sweet innocence of her eyes. Although, she has seen Santa when walking through the mall, we haven't had her picture made with Santa yet but we are definitely going to in the near future. Taylor loves when we are riding around at night and looking for Christmas lights....I like it too!
So as if all the Christmas excitement wasn't enough, we have SOOO many birthdays in my family this month too, including Taylor's. There are 7 birthday in my family this month, it's absolute craziness and I helped add to the madness when Taylor was born, my Christmas eve baby!
We celebrated her birthday this past weekend, it was a Minnie Mouse party at our house and it SNOWED! It started snowing about 15 minutes before her party started and snowed the rest of the day and into the night, we ended up getting around 3 inches. A girl I use to work with made her birthday cake, it was soooo cute and yummy and I made alot of her decorations because they didn't have any red Minnie Mouse decorations, it was all pink. So I made her "Happy Birthday" banner and made little mickey mouse cut-outs to go around the table cloth and I made her a Minnie mouse bow for her birthday outfit. I'm trying to be creative, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Also after her party and after a well needed nap for Taylor, we loaded up in Jonathan's, Sutphin's Lawn Service, work truck and we rode in the Pilot parade. I really wanted Taylor to be able to watch it this year, but it was snowy and COLD, so we decided to ride in the truck with Jonathan, which was fun too, Taylor waved at everybody and yelled "Merry Christmas" at everybody, it was too cute!
Back to trying to be creative......My mom is going to come give me a lesson on the sewing machine soon, I'm pretty intimidated by it but hopefully I can concur the sewing machine and show it who's boss :o) I have no idea what I'm doing, but I have all kinds of good intentions!
So....that's what is going on with us this month....It's crazy busy, full of birthdays and Christmas events, but it's lots of fun and I love creating all these memories and traditions for Taylor.
Here are some pics of what's been going on with us lately......

Wow...I am so bad at keeping this updated
I am awful at doing this on a regular basis. I keep forgetting about it. Well, Halloween was this past weekend and I attempted to make Taylor's halloween costume, she was Minnie Mouse. I made her ears from felt and just used a head band we already had, and made her a black and red tutu, bows for her black shoes she already had and a little collar out of felt for her shirt. The outfit only cost like $7.00, so you can't beat that, I was pretty happy about it and Taylor seemed to like it.
We took her to a Fall Festival at our church and she did real good with keeping her ears on and not messing with her tutu. She got to play some games at the different booths and had fun playing with her Ya-Ya and Papa and even Grandma Creed got in on the fun. Taylor even went on a hayride with her Ya-Ya. After all that excitement, we went to Pilot to visit with my parents. It was a good night and so much fun now that Taylor is older. Last Halloween, she couldn't walk or crawl and this years she was all over the place. I can't get over how much she's grown and that she'll be 2 in less than 2 months. Since she was blessed with a Christmas eve birthday, I'm having her bday party about 3 weeks early so that is fast approaching. With Christmas and a ton of family birthday's coming up....my creative mind is over flowing and I'm thinking I may try some more cute projects....We'll see!
Here are some more pics from this weekend.......
I had good intentions when I started this blog and just keep pushing it to the side. I'll try to be better :o)

Tutu Fun
I've made some more tutu's. They are so much fun and too cute.
Enough about all that. :o) My husband and I are about to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary on October 1st! It's been the best 5 years of my life, he is a wonderful man and my best friend and we have a beautiful little girl together, Taylor.
I took Taylor to get some fall pictures made this weekend. I was really afraid it was going to be a disaster but she ended up doing great. We took her to the Depot, which is a restaurant but it has some great landscaping and places around to take pictures. Then after a little road adventure :o) We ended up at Yadkin Island Park and got some cute picture of her playing in the creek.
Here are a few for your viewing pleasure :o)
Brown/Teal tutu....
Pink/Mint Green tutu for 2 year old and 4 month old...So cute
I've also been making some cute Halloween and Christmas bows.

Trying to be crafty.....
So lately, I've been "trying" to be crafty. I've been making all kinds of cute little hairbows and have made Taylor a cute little tutu for her to play in. My original plan for making her a tutu was for her to have it for her 2nd birthday party and pictures and get a cute little shirt to get with it, I still plan on doing that. But for now, I'm just having fun. My husbands grandma had this old sewing machine, and when I say old, I mean it's like 50 years old!!
So I had my crafty mom come over and see if she could get it working. But unfortunately, something is wrong with it and I would need to take it to someone, who really knows what they are doing, and get it fixed. So instead of spending money to do that, I think I'm going to just save up for a new one. I saw on http://www.overstock.com/ that they have a refurbished sewing machine for around $50. So I think I'll save up for that. And my pillowcase dresses I couldn't wait to make, will just have to wait. But look at this cute fabric I have waiting to be used!
Now, on to more important things, let's talk about Taylor. Taylor turned 20 months this week. I can't believe she is almost 2 years old. She is getting to be such a big girl and has become such a chatter box. She loves to talk ALL THE TIME! But I love it and love to hear her say new words. I think tonight, I'm going to take her to her first high school football game! Jonathan has to help take up money at the gate, so I thought Taylor and I could go too, before it's starts turning too cool at night to have her out there (or me out there). I don't know how I'm going to keep up with her with all the people around, should I hold her, let her hold my hand and walk, put her in the stroller....I guess I'll figure it out when we get there. I'm sure she'll love it, she loves anyplace where there are lots of people for her to look at and say "HEY" too.
Thought I would leave you with a few picture of Taylor last night while I was fixing supper. She decided to play with a big plastic popcorn bowl. I'm just glad she's old enough now to entertain herself (and me) while I'm busy doing something else. Oh yeah....and the bows she's wearing...I made them :o)
Talk to ya'll later :o)

My 1st post
Well, this is my first ever blog post...kinda exciting :o) My life right now basically revolves around Taylor. I've been laid off since January of this year, so I've been staying at home with Taylor and it's been great. Jonathan's been home all summer, but his fun ends in a few weeks when he has to go back to school. We've had a pretty good time together, as a family, this summer. In about the last month or so, I've started making hair bows for Taylor. I would see all these pretty hair bows in store and figured, I could do that, so I did and it's pretty fun. I've became kinda obsessed with it and have already made probably 20 different hair bows :o) I've also made her a tutu, it's so cute and she loves playing in it.
And here are a couple of the bows I've made.....
I think my next adventure is going to be a pillowcase dress. They are too cute! I went today and bought some fabric and once I figure out how to work the sewing machine then I'll be good to go :o) Of course, I'll post pictures when I make one.
